These costumes are used for the traditional "mask dance". It is part of the Buddhist ceremony to get rid of evil. The masks are made of paper mache and are very heavy.

The dance is done to long horns and drums. It is really interesting to watch. These are only some of the characters. They moved too fast for my camera in the performance.
