Our friend Nara Thompson built a library in a little village called Zuunburen. Rob had sent us a computer we were going to donate to the Children's Shelter but we found they already had one. So we had just been saving it. Nara needed computers for this library so we told her we had one. She invited us to go to the opening ceremony of the library.
We were first invited to the Mayor's office. His name is Demberel. It is located in the city building that is shown above. This is an agricultural area and this shaft of wheat is their symbol.
He explained to us about their flags. The white flag is the city flag. The two blue stripes represent the two rivers that surround their city. The horse represents strength. The lower flag has symbols of awards (they are big on medals and awards here) that their village has been given from Mongolia. The flag is bordered with yellow symbolizing the sun and strength.
