For the nomadic children in this area of Mongolia this school becomes their life. For the majority of the year they live at the school while their parents are herding their flocks. Children as young as six spend most of the year here. They live in this dormitory. They are responsible for doing their own laundry by hand in a bucket and taking care of their rooms. They share a room with four children. This is the dining room where they eat in shifts. There are 70 children in the dormitory. I can't imagine sending my six year old away for months at a time, but these parents know that it is the only chance their children will have for any type of education.

This is the tiniest pottie I have ever seen.
