The mom's loved Santa, too.

This is Nergui (her name means no name). She was mad at Santa because he didn't give her a gift. We aren't sure where she lives. But if there is a branch activity (any branch) she is there to participate...especially if there are refreshments.

The children at Chingeltei loved Santa....(Elder Gledhill)...

Beautiful decorations in State Department Store.

The audience was around us 360 degrees and 6 stories. It was really great.

On Christmas Eve day the choir sang at State Department Store. It was a wonderful place to sing with the music floating above us for six stories. There were people everywhere. The missionaries were out and about as well.

We got a big kick watching this fellow try to warm up the fluids in his car. He a burner of some kind and kept moving it around under the car. I guess that is easier and less expensive than renting a heated garage.

President Odgerel, President of the UB West Stake. He also head of Seminary and Institutes for all of Mongolia.

Our gingerbread family getting ready to find new homes.

Tseegii's baby Huslin already for winter.

On December 18th the UB Stake/District Choir sang at the Chinggis Khaan Hotel.

The ice is getting thicker on the inside of the windows. We have really good windows but they keep the moisture in...hence the ice. Don't stick your tongue on it....

Brother Baata was baptized by Pres. Enkhbold. He had been classmates with Enkhbold's wife, Oyundulam. He was taught by Elder Munkhbaatar and Elder Williams.

Santa is alive and well in Mongolia....

They don't do anything the easy way in Mongolia. There are no snow plows or snow removal machines...everything is done by hand. They come along the edge of the major streets and with brooms and shovels chip away the ice build up put it in cans and find a place to dump it. That place can even be in the middle of the sidewalk.

This is the daily attire for going outside. It takes me an extra 10 minutes to get on two layers of pants, boots, a sweater under my coat, my coat (it has a terrible zipper) scarf and gloves. Then when I get to to bottom of the stairs I put on Yak Tracks to help from slipping on the ice. It is so much easier to just jump in the car and turn on the heater. Even Blaine has scummed to the warm clothes routine.
