Does your Bishop have a band? This Bishop does. He was really good, too.

New Year's night we went with all the couples to the "original" Mongolian Barbeque. Supposedly it was established in 1208. They had all the Mogolian delicacies: sheep head, lamb's tail, horse. We tried the horse and it was very good...better than the beef here. You choose what you want and they cook it on a big round grill. It was tasty.

In our English class we did a "Happy New Year" party. We made resolutions for the new year, cray hats, and leared about toasting. We had no idea that the cups we used were adverisment for the most famous liquor in Mongolia. We bought them at the grocery store. What's even funnier is that we also used the for the Addiction Recovery Class. Next time we'll take a translator before we buy printed cups.

This is the room in which official ceremonies take place. It has a glass balcony for the press.
This flag is the traditional flag of Mongolia. When Chinggis Khaan conquored the world this was his flag. It is made of white horse tails. When he was at war they used black horse tales. During the Russian occupation the original flag was destroyed along with a lot of other cultural things.

One of the amazing things about the Parliament building is this 54' mural painted
on fabric and then framed. It took two years to paint. It has all the symbols of Mogolia. It has 999 little Mongolian people engaged in all aspects of Mongolian life and culture. It is truly a masterpiece.

On Dec. 27th we were invited to tour the Parliament Building. This tour was arranged by Sister Puje. She is a doll. Not everyone gets this opportunity. We felt very privideged. The top picture was taken outside the governing chamber. This is the bust of Chinggis Khann.
