This is the and the National Symbol of Mongolia. It is called the Soyombo. It is on the Mongolian flag Coat of Arms of Mongolia.
The elements in the symbol are from top to bottom:
1) Fire--it is the symbol of growth and success and happiness. The three tongues of the flame represent past, present and the future.
2) The sun and the moon represent that Mongolia will exist for eternity as will the eternal blue sky
3) the two triangles are points of an arrow or spear. The point downward to announce the defeat of internal and external enemies.
4) The two horizontal rectangles represent stability. It represents honesty and justice to all people in Mongolia whether they start at the top or the bottom.
5) The yin-yang represent the mutual complement of man and woman.
6) The vertical rectangles are the walls. They represent unity and strength relating to a Mongolian proverb, "The friendship of two is stronger than stone walls."
