There were a lot of military people visiting Zaisan the day we were there.

Zaisan was built by the Russians before they left Mongolia. It was built in
memory of all the good things they did for Mongolia. (They left out the tobacco and the vodka).

Below Zaisan is a giant Buddihst Shrine. You can see this statue from a long way off.

The last Saturday in June the Senior Couples decided to visit Zaisan. None of the couples (except for us) had visited where Elder Maxwell dedicated Mongolia to the preaching of the gospel. So we all climbed the 298 stairs to the top. The view of the city is really great from there.

We went with Elder and Sister Richardson to visit President Nassanbold's garden and greenhouse. Things were looking really good. He just needed to add a vent to the end of the greenhouse. It was TOO hot.

Buyanbaatar (Buya) and his family left the end of June for BYU-Hawaii. We will miss him but Batbold will miss him the most.

Taylor and Chimee's wedding party. In Mongolia you have to register with the State and that is the "wedding". Only two witnesses go with you. After you have the "party". Some couples wait a year or more after their wedding to afford an elaborate party. Taylor and Chimee were more practical.
